Biography

Mr. Robert Lloyd Sosebee, Sr. age 80 of Austell, Georgia passed away on March 1, 2010 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Mr. Sosebee was born in Dallas, Georgia on October 17, 1929 the son of the late Willie Emmett Sosebee and Mary Eula Allgood Sosebee. He was previously employed with John Moorell Meat Packing where he served as a Foreman. He previously served in the United States Navy. His hobbies included gardening and square dancing.

Mr. Robert Lloyd Sosebee, Sr. was survived by one son and daughter in law; Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Sosebee, Jr.; 4 brothers; Charles Sosebee of Dallas, Ga.; Truman Sosebee of Dallas, Ga; Leon Sosebee of New Ga.; Harold Sosebee of Austell, Ga.; 2 sisters; Jean Roach of Dallas, Ga.; Willa Mae Mason of Stockbridge; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Mr. Sosebee was preceded in death by his devoted wife Mrs. Ora Lee Brown Sosebee; father & mother; Willie Emmett Sosebee and Mary Eula Allgood Sosebee; 3 brothers; Gerald Sosebee, Burren Sosebee, Alton Sosebee; 3 sisters; Dorothy Sosebee, Helen Folsom, Jeanette Osborne.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Lloyd Sosebee, Sr. will be conducted on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 2PM from the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Music will be provided by Denise Gordon, pianist; Yorkville Baptist Church Family, Lisa Jenkins,Donnie Long and The Doss Quartet.

Interment will follow at Yorkville Memory Gardens. Del Delamont will play Tapps at graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday March 3, 2010 from 2PM until 9PM and on Thursday from 9 AM until the service begins at 2PM on Thursday March 4, 2010.
