Mr. Edward Gene "Pops" Roper Sr. age 77, of Temple Ga passed away Monday June 21, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Roper was born on February 13, 1933 in Duluth Ga, the son of Otto Horace and Essie Marie Roper. He enjoyed watching John Wayne films, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Edward Gene Roper Sr. is survived by 4 daughters Diane & Mike Adams of Bremen, Ga; Fay & Ricky Morgan of Collinsville, Al; Deb Williams of Temple, Ga; Christy Roper of Panama City, Fl; 1 son Gene & Wanda Roper of Temple, Ga; 3 sisters Louise Dunscomb of Seattle, Wa; Barbara Green of Conley, Ga; Gennie Kennedy of Suwanne, Ga; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, nieces & nephews as well as many other beloved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Mr. Horace Otto Roper and Mrs. Marie Essie Gentry Roper.
A Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Roper on Friday June 25, 2010 at 2PM in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Jeff Eberhart officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart.
Family will receive friends at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Friday June 25, 2010 at 1 PM until time of service.
