Mrs. Gail Thompson Truitt

June 19, 1947 - March 29, 2018

Mrs. Gail Thompson Truitt, age 70, of Dallas, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA. Gail was born on June 19, 1947, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Mr. Bill Thompson and Mrs. Dura Irene Evans Thompson. Gail loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She loved her family and many friends. Gail loved to fish and it was even said that she would rather fish than to eat when she was hungry. She attended church at the Yorkville Baptist Church for many years. Gail was a die-hard Braves fan and never missed a game. The Atlanta Braves won the opening game on the day that she left us and the family believed it was done in honor of her. Gail is survived by her beloved husband of many years; Mr. Paul Truitt, Daughter; Mrs. Bree Laas, Son; Mr. Bill Truitt and Daughter; Mrs. Shayne Wilson. Grandchildren; Sarah Grace Laas, Ravenlee Wilson and Emma Olivia Truitt. Stepmother; Mrs. Margaret Stover Thompson, Brothers; Paul Thompson and Keith Thompson. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her son; Paul Edward "Eddie" Truitt, Jr. and sister; Mrs. Jane Kibodeaux. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018, at 2:00 PM, from the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Murdock officiating. Interment will follow in the Yorkville Memory Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
