Mr. Hulon Thomas Thackston, Sr.

Mr. Hulon Thomas Thackston, Sr. age 84 of Hiram, Ga. passed peacefully on September 9, 2017 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Ga. Mr. Thackston was born in Dallas, GA, on May 20, 1933, to loving parents, the late Mr. William “Bill” Thaxton and Mrs. Imogene Cooper Thaxton. Mr. Thackston served in the United States Army. He retired from Marta as a bus driver. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Mrs. Margaret Jo Hardy and a brother. Mr. Thackston is survived by: Wife, Mrs. Edith Eagerton Thackston, Son, Mr. Hulon “Tommy” Thackston, Jr., daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Richard (Crystal) Harris and son Mr. David Thackston. Grandchildren, Elicia Stover, Josh Harris and Jacob Thackston. Brother, Mr. & Mrs. Gary (Faye) Thackston Funeral services for Mr. Thackston will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 4:00 PM, in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Wynn officiating. In keeping with Mr. Thackston’s wishes he will be cremated following the funeral service.
