Mrs. Ilan Hulsey Craton, age 79, of Dallas passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, February 23, 2015. Ilan was born on March 20, 1935 in Rockmart, GA to her beloved parents, the late Mr. Julius Hulsey and Mrs. Annie Portwood Hulsey. She was a housewife who enjoyed taking care of her family. In her spare time she enjoyed design and had a very color-vivid imagination. She also enjoyed reading and cooking. A Christian, Ilan was a member of New Hope First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents and three brothers, Calvin Hulsey, Bobby Hulsey, and Harlan Hulsey. Ilan is survived by her husband of 59 years Mr. Robert Everett Craton, Jr.; 2 sons, Mr. Kevin Craton and Mr. Eric (Eva Jo) Craton both of Dallas; 6 grandchildren, Brandy (David) Head of Temple, Keith Craton of Dallas, Joelle (Silas) Sutton of Marietta, Emily (Robert) Murphy, Hannah Craton, and Kendall Craton all of Dallas; 9 great grandchildren, Dillan Head, Keisha Head, Jayden Head, and Logan Head all of Temple, Jordan Craton of Dallas, Everett Sutton of Marietta, Dallas Murphy, Benjamin Murphy, and Ansley Murphy all of Dallas; 3 brothers, Hubert (Gaynell) Hulsey of Brunswick, Alfred (Janice) Hulsey of Rockmart, Horace (Grace) Hulsey of Rockmart; 2 sisters, Arnette (Jerome) Parham of Greensboro, GA and Evelyn Hulsey of Cedartown; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Ilan Hulsey Craton will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Mabry officiating. Perry Hulsey, Mike Pickett, Wayne Gurley, Marlon Tant, Keith Lindsey, and Matt Elrod will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at the New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 4-9 PM and on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 9 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM.
