Rev. Jesse Ottis Henson

Rev. Jesse Ottis Henson, age 91, of Clarkdale, GA., passed away on Thursday December 26, 2019 peacefully at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Rev. Henson was born on September 15, 1928, to parents, the late Mr. Riley Henson and Mrs. Opal Thompson Culberson. Rev. Henson was born in the New Georgia Community of Paulding County, and was married to the love of his life Mrs. Frances A. Prather Henson for 68 years until her passing on December 26, 2015. Rev. Henson worked for many years as a custodian for the Cobb County Board of Education working at McEachern High School. Rev. Henson was a simple person who loved Jesus Christ and serving him for many years. He was faithful to his church Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Aragon. He enjoyed spending time with all his family and will be missed by all who knew him. Rev. Henson is survived by his daughter, Karen Henson of Clarkdale, Ga., grandsons, Jock Henson of Clarkdale, Ga., and Robton Crow of Dallas, Ga., great granddaughter, Zoie Crow of New York and six siblings. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Archie Streetman, Rev. Tim Deems, Rev. Colt Deems and Rev. Charles Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Jock Henson, Robton Crow Zachary Kirby, Olin Streetman serving as Pall Bearers. The family will be receiving friends at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Thursday January 2, 2020 from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
